…Welcome to my world…

It’s a world of honesty, humor, curiosity, bewilderment and love. It’s a world of photography, families and relationships. It’s a world where people know me as Mary Jane, MJ, Janey, Jane-Dog, Sweet Pea and Princess Bottom… for I am many things. I am a mother, a photographer, a wife, a friend, a daughter, a sister…

I studied for my Masters at Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara. My work has been published nationwide, gracing the pages of wedding magazines ranging from Destination I Do, Southern Weddings to Your Wedding Day, as well as an industry leading photographers magazine, Shutterbug. My work is featured in many local publications, including Santa Barbara MagazineThe Montecito Journal and The Santa Barbara Independent.

This wedding was such a blast to shoot!  Serena and Jon were so relaxed and natural – you would have thought they got married every day of their life!  But, everything was just so right.  They are.just.so.right.together.  It also didn’t hurt that the day was stunning in every way.  Firestone was the perfect backdrop for their lovely white and green accents that permeated effortlessly…

This couple completely shined from the inside out! You can obviously see how beautiful they are on the outside, but I hope my photos also show their true beauty from the inside. They are the kind of couple that just makes you fall more in love with LOVE. The day was absolutely perfect thanks to Maria at the Four Seasons Biltmore, and Kerry Lee with Santa Barbara Wine Country Weddings and Events. I feel so blessed anytime I get the chance to work with them. The team that Kerry put together was impeccable – Laura Cogan with Passion Flowers Design, TEAM Hair and Makeup, AMS Entertainment and LBPS. Thank you everyone for all of your talent and hard work – and thank you Charlotte and Kevin for letting your light shine bright for all the world to see!

As you can tell by glancing at the photos – these two are so full of life! They also have the cutest story of how they ended up saying “I DO” in May at the Rockwood Women’s Club. They reconnected at their high school reunion – how cute is that!? It was such a fun party and a fabulous rejoining of a lot of friends from years past. The flowers by Kim Curtis were the perfect accent to such a special evening. The event was pulled off flawlessly by Sophie Spier of Amazing Days Events. Thank you to all of the talented vendors that made this day possible – but most of all, thank you to Hollie & Ken for attending your high school reunion and falling in love!

This couple literally lit up my camera!!  I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this coming August at the Four Seasons Biltmore.   I’m beyond excited to work with the fabulous Kerry Lee Dickey of Santa Barbara Wine Country Weddings and Events – it just guaranteed to be fabulous.

I couldn’t do what I do without the amazing couples I get to work with, the incredibly talented vendors (Joy De Vivre Weddings, NLC Productions, LunaBella Makeup Art, LBPS Events) and and the most impeccable venue (Four Seasons Biltmore).

Olya and Justin – thank you for your inner and outer beauty, for loving each other and for allowing me to document it.  Thank you Joy…

Chelsea and Jason tied the knot at the beautiful and historic, Our Lady of Sorrows Church in downtown Santa Barbara. They later joined family and friends at the Montecito Country Club for a night of laughter and dancing. The ballroom was incredible – decked out in gorgeous arrangements of purple and pink flowers. There was not a detail that was missed! Just stunning!! I am so grateful for the amazing team I got to work with (Kelly Leonard with Events of the Season, Juniper Designs, Ambient Events, Christine Dahl and DJ Gavin Roy). But, I’m most grateful for Chelsea and Jason – for being so head.over.heels in love and for letting it shine for all the world to see. My camera loves them almost as much as I do!

Lindsay and Chris tied the knot at Birnam Wood Golf Club in Montecito. Lindsay looked like an absolute dream and I’m pretty sure Chris thought so too! The wedding was detailed, beautiful and all of the cobalt blue accents were just stunning! I was so honored to work with the BEST team of vendors – Maren Parson Events, Tomiko Taft, Camille with Modern Day Design, Anthony Ybarra, and the Vibe! It just doesn’t get any better than that! Thank you to Lindsay and Chris for being so crazy in love and for all of the talented vendors that make doing my job so much easier.

Fairy tales do come true…atleast for Heather and Sam! I was so honored to capture this special day for them. Of course, the Four Seasons Biltmore did not disappoint and Santa Barbara held up it’s deal of a providing the most gorgeous sunny day. Heather looked absolutely amazing and Sam couldn’t keep a smile off his face. A big thank you to Liz Brown, with Central Coast Memory Makers for keeping us all on task and helping to plan the perfect day. A big shout out to SR Hogue for the gorgeous florals and Mar with TEAM Hair and Makeup did an impeccable job, as always!
